EMERGENCY POWER

A Caterpillar 250 KVA emergency generator controlled by (3) three (ATS) automatic transfer switches supplies power for egress lighting, exit lights, fire life safety system, lobby guards station equipment, base-building mechanical equipment and (1) one elevator per bank during power failures.

POWER SOURCES

Primary Electrical Feed Voltage: 480V (480 separate 277V electrical feed to building) supplied form the building’s main switchboard to the power center in electrical closets on each floor. Floor load: 75 pounds per RSF allowable live load (varies per floor). This varies per floor depending upon size of existing transformer.

PARKING

HVAC

Centralized HVAC system: High-rise air supplied by fans. Interior air of building supplied through DDC controlled VAV boxes. Perimeter air supplied through pneumatically controlled induction units capable of heating and cooling. Cooling: Two – 600 ton York chillers. Chiller #1 is a centrifugal chiller with a variable speed drive. Chiller #2 is absorption chiller serving as backup. Heating: The building is run on a district steam supplier.
